Privacy Policy
This policy explains what The Passion Table collects when you use the-passion-table.anchit-tandon.com, why we collect it, and how you remove it. It describes what the service actually does — every item below corresponds to data the application genuinely stores.
Who we are
The Passion Table provides freshly-cooked daily meals from neighbourhood Eating Joints, by subscription, on-demand order, or dine-in reservation. For questions about this policy or your data, contact anchit.tandon@gmail.com.
What we collect, and why
| Data | When | Why |
|---|---|---|
| Email address, and a password if you set one | Creating an account | To identify you and secure sign-in |
| Google account email, name and profile picture | Only if you choose “Continue with Google” | To create your account without a separate password. We request only
the openid, email and profile
scopes — we cannot read your Gmail, Drive, Calendar or contacts. |
| Mobile number | Signing in by one-time code, or saved to your profile | To verify it is you, and to reach you about a delivery |
| Name and preferred Eating Joint | Saved to your profile | To address you correctly and default to your local kitchen |
| Orders: items, amounts, delivery address, any note, and status | Placing an order | To cook, deliver and track it, and to show your order history |
| Reservations: date, time, party size, any note, and pre-ordered items | Booking a table | To hold the table and prepare a pre-order |
| Subscriptions: plan, cadence, chosen meal, next delivery | Starting a meal plan | To deliver the right meal on the right day |
| Job applications: name, email, phone, links, your CV file, and any note | Only if you apply through Careers | To assess your application. CVs are stored privately and are readable only by platform administrators. |
| Technical logs and aggregate performance metrics | Every visit | To keep the site available, secure and fast |
We do not collect payment card details. We do not sell personal data, and we do not use it for advertising or profiling.
Who can see your data
- You. Your orders, reservations and subscriptions are visible to your account.
- The Eating Joint fulfilling your order. Staff at that joint see the order or reservation they need to prepare, and nothing from other joints.
- Platform administrators, for support, safety and operating the service.
These boundaries are enforced in the database itself with row-level security, not only in the interface.
Processors we rely on
- Supabase — accounts, authentication and the application database.
- Vercel — hosting, content delivery and aggregate performance metrics.
- Google — only if you choose to sign in with Google, to verify that sign-in.
How long we keep it
Account, order, reservation and subscription records are kept while your account is open, and are removed when you delete it. Job applications are kept while the role is being filled and for a reasonable period afterwards. Operational logs are short-lived and retained by our hosting providers on their own schedules.
Deleting your account
You can delete your account yourself, at any time, from your account menu in the app. Deletion is immediate and removes your sign-in identity along with the profile, orders, reservations and subscriptions attached to it. It cannot be undone. Records we are required to retain for tax or legal reasons are kept only where the law requires.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct, export or erase your personal data, and to restrict or object to how we use it. Write to anchit.tandon@gmail.com and we will respond within 30 days. Most of this is available immediately in the app.
Security
Traffic is encrypted in transit. Access to your records is restricted at the database level per account and per Eating Joint. CV uploads are stored in a private bucket, never publicly listable.
Children
The service is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their data. If you believe a child has given us data, contact us and we will remove it.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date above and, where the change affects you, tell you in the app.
